I have worked with organizations as a management consultant for over 20 years. My work is informed by a degree in anthropology from Harvard and MBA from Yale.
I look at each system as having a culture that has evolved over time, with elements that are supportive and functional for the organization and some that may be less so, which can be addressed through intentional action. I hold a lens of racial justice and an understanding of systems of oppression in all the work I do.
I consult with organizations in nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors. Directly after my MBA, I consulted through Hewitt Associates, an international consulting firm, in their organizational effectiveness practice. Later I directed the People Management consulting area at CompassPoint Nonprofit Services, the largest nonprofit management support organization in the US, providing research, consulting and training in Strategic Planning, Leadership Development, and Executive Leadership Transitions.
I developed a focus around Leadership Development, facilitating networks for women executive directors of color, LGBTQ executive directors, and HR directors. I have taught and coached in leadership programs in a variety of fields, including providing training and facilitation through American Leadership Forum, Young President’s Organization, and others.
My current work focuses on
- Leadership Development
- Strategic Planning
- Facilitation of Board and Staff retreats
- Mindful Leadership Coaching programs
I lead workshops and do presentations on topics around bringing mindfulness to modern life, including: Introduction to Mindfulness, Mindfulness & Leadership, Mindfulness & Innovation, and Mindfulness & Technology.
